In the meantime I have set up a twitter account (ummmm, yeah I know like 2 years later lol) so anything new and exciting be sure to check in @SarahShafey.

In the meantime I am working in the editing room for music video "Paranoia" and my website Sarah Shafey which will be up and running in no time.

Thank God the world didn't end because 2013 is going to be amazing. I have decided if there is ever another end of the world scare, I am going to organize a massive "End of Days" rock festival at the peak of  volcano.

Oi Vey! Whadda Ya Mean Who's Run D.M.C.?

Today a crime against humanity occurred: a code red type of alert, the Holy Grail dumped from a helicopter into the vast open Sahara never to be found!

I spent the morning reminiscing. I pulled out some Run D.M.C. and did a proverbial dust off (ie) found it in my ipod's depths and had a hilarious trip through memory lane.
Cut-to, a few hours later ready to share this feeling with someone, ANYONE??

Nope!

I asked a few kids in my school and all of them looked at me with a blank face and said "Who's Run D.M.C"?

STOP THE PRESSES!!!!!
Who's Run D.M.C.???????

This is who they are:

Educate yourselves young ones!

There Will Never be Another Dynamic Duo Like...

That's right!

Fox Mulder and Dana Scully

Even their names sound cool :). When I was young and strange (eventually growing into older and strange lol), my mother and I used to wait with anticipation for the next Paranormal adventure into another X-File.

What's next, who's crazy, who's alien, who's robot, when are Dana and Foxy Fox going to finally kiss?

I have rediscovered this all over again through Netflix. Though, I must say I did cheat by starting at season three; the characters were more established and comfortable in their roles as activists for the mighty and bizarre.

It reminded me all over again what a straight shooter and smarty pants Dr. Dana Scully was. Now there is a female role for the youngin's to aspire to. She was quick witted, bad to the bone, could sport a lady-like pencil skirt, all whilst throwing down both physically and intellectually.

And Fox? Wowee zowweey!

Now the greatest part of this blast from the past is seeing all of these young up-and-coming actors having a cameo in random episodes. None had any clue of what their futures had in store: Jack Black and Giovanni Ribisi side by side as punk kids? Where else!

Go fourth and rediscover your inner believer, it's nerd fun at its highest potential.

Dum-da-da-da-de-dumm (that's my best attempt at typing out the theme song).

Have a lovey Night or Day!
Sarah

New Rockin Album and Video

Hello guys and gals!

Quite a few people have been asking me recently what I have been doing with music and alas I shall shall share with you all.

I have been working on a new album over the last year and a half with fellow co-writer/co-producer Donna Grantis. She is a good friend and an extraordinary guitar player who I can confidently say is going to be considered amongst the ranks of Hendrix, Santana, and Zepplin one day soon. You can check out her stuff here: Donna Grantis

The album is 100% 90's alternative-grunge rock and roll. I have always loved the music from the 90's Seattle grunge scene and wasn't sure how to go about putting together the songs until I met Donna.

A year and a half later and we have finished my new album masterpiece called "Maverick". It is currently being mixed and  is set to be released soon (I'll keep you posted). In the meantime I am shooting a video with my very talented friend and Director Dave Bedrich for my single to be released called "Paranoia". Think Green Day and Blink 182, I cannot wait to share the behind the scenes footage with you.

So folks get ready for some guitar madness because 2012/2013 is going to be great!

Love,
Sarah Shafey
