New Rockin Album and Video

Hello guys and gals!

Quite a few people have been asking me recently what I have been doing with music and alas I shall shall share with you all.

I have been working on a new album over the last year and a half with fellow co-writer/co-producer Donna Grantis. She is a good friend and an extraordinary guitar player who I can confidently say is going to be considered amongst the ranks of Hendrix, Santana, and Zepplin one day soon. You can check out her stuff here: Donna Grantis

The album is 100% 90's alternative-grunge rock and roll. I have always loved the music from the 90's Seattle grunge scene and wasn't sure how to go about putting together the songs until I met Donna.

A year and a half later and we have finished my new album masterpiece called "Maverick". It is currently being mixed and  is set to be released soon (I'll keep you posted). In the meantime I am shooting a video with my very talented friend and Director Dave Bedrich for my single to be released called "Paranoia". Think Green Day and Blink 182, I cannot wait to share the behind the scenes footage with you.

So folks get ready for some guitar madness because 2012/2013 is going to be great!

Love,

Gaggle of Mini Me's?

Yikes!

Yes, yikes, I said it! Sometimes there are moments when you sit back and an apple falls on your head but it's a yucky rotten one. The internet has really morphed over the past few years. Not a bad thing or a good thing just interesting to see how it has taken pop culture and spread it like butter over the world.

Yikes to this strangezoid photo of Katy Perry and what the title of the article deemed as a "Gaggle" of her mini mes. Don't get me wrong I rather like Katy Perry and I find her to be a hard worker but the little girls in the photo are super odd. The picture definitely gets into the zone of strange and creepy.

The outfits on little girls do not need to happen, especially the little one on the left with the cupcakes.

Hey parents of cupcake girl... NO!

Why is the World so Darned Angry?

I think I have a solution to this growing epidemic of angry diplomats, and the sweeping trend of a mob mentality.

I think we should gather all the pastry chefs of the world over and have them bake a gigantic chocolate cake (preferably a lactose free one).  One so large that even James and his Giant Peach would feel inferior next to it. Then everyone should stop arguing and sit together and eat this super cake until all is jovial.

There is nothing worse then hearing people trying to find some sort of logic behind why it is O.K. to toss an explosive device overtop of someone else's children.

I don't understand, why is this world so darned angry?

HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Happy Earth Day folks!

Only within the last few years have I begun to actually pay attention to the little things. The concept of changing various areas of my life initially seemed liked an infringement on what became a comfortable routine. Once I delved in though, I decided to never look back. You see, this wonderful planet that we live on is quite literally being harvested, abused, and drained like she will run forever.

Instead of a preach-fest how about just one little teeny-tiny thing to start with that won't only help this lovely earth but it'll save you money (good incentive in my books).

BRITA-BOTTLE AQUA $9.99
Instead of spending a dollar, two dollars, three dollars everyday on plastic H2O bottles  go and buy one of these little guys.

You only need to change the filter once every two months and you can filler up any where you go, all you need is a tap. SHRIEK "TAP WATER", I bet is what some of you are thinking, but our tap water goes through an intensive filtration system in Ontario. We are lucky to have some of the cleanest tap water in the world so why waste it?Plastic bottled water ends up containing more yucky bacterial organisms anyway so it sounds like a win-win from my perspective.

One thing at a time is my philosophy so go out spend that $9.99 proudly and don't forget to smile because yes YOU are helping to save this earth!

Sarah

Sliders and Roswell

What do they have in common? Well sorry to say not a whole lot except for the fact that the Space Channel most likely has them running back to back. Other than that I'll tell you how they are both deserved of being in the same title.

First it starts with a netflix adventure into another dimension of Sliders. Jerry O'Connell turning into a man before your eyes, The Crying Man always getting down, Wade making the slides more girly, and the professor keeping it real.

Then the unthinkable happens after night after night after night of Sliders fanboy dedication; they start killing off the beloved main characters and replacing them with Hollywood bozo's. That was it, the second this terrible actress came on to replace the professor I swore Sliders right out of the window from that point on.

A few days ensued of confusion and heartbreak not knowing how I could go on without a new adventure into another dimension than.... Roswell.

Ahhhhhhhhh, safe for the time being, I said to myself. Roswell is like Dawson's Creek and Predator vs. Aliens combined. What an odd combo of strange acting and a lot of deep longing stares. Either way I'm safe in my world of Sci Fi until they replace the Rosewell cast like they did Sliders.

Yeah I'll admit it, I love Sci-Fi so what?

Veterans Affairs Canada - Skimping on Benefits?

"The Canada First Defense Strategy provides the resources needed to expand the Forces to 70,000 Regular Force and 30,000 Reserve Force personnel. This will give the Canadian Forces a total strength of 100,000 to achieve the Government's defense objectives in Canada, on the continent and internationally, as well as positioning them for future growth".

That's right, 100 000 potential people who could find themselves in a situation where they are injured on the job in the name of their country. And how does the current system treat the injured veterans who apply for disability benefits? Many of them are treated like a number and sent a vague denial letter without a reason, a cast-aside if you will.

Seriously Canada? You will spend millions of dollars to train and deploy these husbands, brothers, wives, mothers and send them into a raging battle field of rockets and warfare but when they ask for your help in return, you round house kick them in the back of the head? That is not the Canada I grew up in, and that is not the Canada I want to raise my children in.

If you are going to skimp anywhere in life, let it not be in the area of Veterans Benefits, that is just embarrassing. Why don't we ask "The Honorable" Steven Blaney what he thinks the honorable thing to do is here.
